bit closer.
It now has full brakes.
It has a clutch
It has a working throttle
It has a fully plumbed up water system - including the water line on the inlet manifold.
It has an oil cooler - my most important of requirements - not having one cost me a lot of money LOL. All tha remains now is for me to collect my my oil catch tank tomorrow and install the ITG 19mm breather filter on it - and make up an aeroquip line. I have to take the cam cover to get the union welded on the front breather and the back one welded up. The engine has had a filter and full drink of sensible but cheaper oil just to get it running on and then the good stuff can go in.
It has some new window wipers ,front weather sheilds and door check rubbers for extra power.
it has mit pazen's barrels up front and looks quite sick on them.
I want to be in here listening to it going nuts.
now its all about geometry and wires and making the little fricker run. If I could only make the clocks light up it would be 100% closer or something.

Dont like the front wheels Ian. Not on your car. Sorry.
Might be great spec but they re not the right style.
You had some awesome wheels during that project to end up with these.

strangely - me neither - I hope I've not just spoiled it too much when I get to drive it - I'm sure I'll be glad of the power - I just need to spend some time on geometry to make sure it handles just as well as it goes.

because it gives the best high revving bang per buck of any fairly sensibly priced 4 cylinder NA engine and its torque characteristics are close to that of the 4age. I am fairly sure it will perform better than a std BEAMS engine with nothing more than external changes (i.e. throttle bodies and exhaust system). I guess the car is so cut and hacked about now its not really a corolla anymore. Putting some nisan turbo engine it it could have possibly been less kind though LOL.

Yep - Winds Auto Barrels. A temp measure until I source another 4 meisters.
trdtwincam16 - unfortunatley you can't buy them now. I believe they stopped making them about 7 years ago.

Good question LOL I'll hopefully let you know when we start the wiring next week.

Catch tank got made and installed.
