Hey Banpei! Yes the Proton has gone... torque steery thing! The only thing it did better was to go quicker on the straight bits (when it wasn't trying to chuck me off the road, I spent Months trying to sort it but there is always a compromise with unequal length drive shafts) What a pleasure to drive my AE86 again. Currently l'm working on removing the axle to get it blasted/painted and while it is out l will attack the underside. The shell is solid but needs some surface rust removing, treating and probably painting. I can't decide to be honest, l fear painting will trap problems for the future.
