Hot oil filter - a problem?

common problem with aftermarket headers as they ditch the original heatshield. Make a new one like Dave or have the header heatwrapped.

In general if you got a good oil cooling system it will be fine while driving. I would address it though especially for the moment when you stop. the header will still be hot but no more oilflow this might heat the oil inside the filter to a level where it might start building up and get caked and in turn block flow.
