Update! Almost done with welding, So far I have almost used a whole 10liter welding gas!

Pictures say more than words so here we go:








Not very clear in the picture but I managed to fix the left pocket edge as well with the left over from the fender.

To make it look as much as original I decided to stick the fender underneath the carsheet, this way it is as flat as possible. From the inside I can protect the overlay. My working order was:

1. cut away the old fender right in the gully lets say.
2. mark the top center
3. mark the top center of the new fender
4. measure the distance between the inner arch edge and the line where you cut on diffenrent spots
5. copy these measurements to your new fender
6. cut away what you don`t need but leave a strip extra for overlap and incorrect measurements.
7. put new fender overtop and put the marks on top of each other. Check if the front lines up and cut away the rear (this is where your bumper will be attached)
8. check if the inner en new outer wing meets up nice and tack weld it into place
9. now you check how it will look with the bumper attached, nice flow of line? you did your measurements correct and are now ready to finisch it up!

I am not a professional welder and this was my first attempt, maybe there are better ways of doing this but I am satisfied with this, maybe somebody can use this someday..
