nzae86's TRD ae86 N2 Race Car Project 2,
Hey mate, nice build, Im doing one myself (track car), but with a built blacktop (also running G4). With your windows, did you just go for a straight polycarb, or the M10 (I think thats what it is) stuff? I heard you cant form that approved gear so people usually go for the other that can.

Also, are you actually running the heater core through the motor or just using the parts for the blower ducting etc?

Hi there, yes I used Lexan MR10 , the MR stands for mark resistant , it is not form-able to a curve by any heat type process .the rear quater windows fit well, the passengers window does sit a little flat , the rear hatch window is held to shape nicely by the metal straps to stop it blowing out , and the drivers window is still glass so I can wind it up and down . The heater is fully functional with water passing through it .
Good luck with your build

nzae86's TRD ae86 N2 Race Car Project 2,
Ah ok, the MR is the stuff to use, I wasnt sure how well it would fit the subtle curves of the rear window. Any reason why you didnt just use an electric demister ala kit car type products? Seems to be significantly lighter option etc.

nzae86's TRD ae86 N2 Race Car Project 2,
The wiring is nearly complete now , all that is remaining on the electrical side is the ignition wiring, all lights, wipers, alternator wiring, and start circuits are complete, just need to make up one more main cable. It has been a bit of a challenge to rewire the thing completely when you don't really know what you are doing!!

Quote:As promised here are the pics of the door cards that I have had made from steel and painted , I think the carbon ones will come out fantastic.

Hi, I am very interested in your door panels - I don't suppose you would want to make a second set that I could purchase off you - they look amazing even in painted steel.

Cheers, Simon
