I still have to fix the number plate lighting..the weather was crappy yesterday so I'll have to leave work early and try to get it working before going back to the garage. After that it's back to saving up some money for the next big jobs on the car. I still need some proper winter tires because I'm sliding around all over the place already after a bit of rain and I still need to follow up on the differential rebuild. I might give it a shot to adjust a 4.1 ratio rear end myself...and mount a good lsd in that.

That's good to hear Ivan! Things are looking better now.

Do you guys in NL have to take the MOT every year?

Yes..it's the most stupid system you could think of.. Every year the whole car is inspected to pretty tight regulations (not as bad as some other countries though). The bad thing is that you do this at regular garage's instead of an independent institute (like in germany).
You often get shop's trying to rip people off by failing a car for bogus reasons or for doing repairs that arent necessary for MOT approval.
The dutch have an old saying that perfectly applies to this situation:
"tying the cat to the bacon" or in more simple words the garage's doing the inspection have every reason to make up expensive repairs for their own profit.

Hehe... No, a trout wouldn't be hard enough. I'd say slap him with your hachi while doing some donuts in front of his garage. Big Grin
