Ivan's coupe: roof stuccowork
This was not an original sunroof, and I even had trouble finding parts at the manufacturer that made the damn thing (dutch company).
Anyway.. I never appreciated the damn thing and welding it shut requires a more talent than changing a roof. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Ivan's coupe: roof stuccowork
Update:
New roofskin removed from it's old frame: Old roofskin removed from project (can hardly call it a car at the moment): This is the worst of the rust damage I found: (lucky me) Sadly, practising on the old roof is impossible because I cut the old roof off on the safe side. Try it on for size: Fits like a glove... which is lucky considering I didn't measure everything up more than once. Next up is cleaning the damage from removing the spot welds etc. : Many thanks to The Doctor for lending a hand. I expect to have the new skin fitted in one or two weeks time. I plan on hard-soldering or lead loading the rear posts together rather than welding, should keep potential heat damage to a minimum. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
