what backbox

I'm after a new back box for my exhaust system as mine is silly loud and way too large for my likings, what are my options, who makes back box's to fit the 86, or does it not have to be car specific just the right length

i bought a spoon n1 style one back box, just look in ebay, you will find thousands of univeral muffler´s there

In the Uk your best bet is a janspeed rear section, nice crisp sound,
If you want the pre-view just type in twincam ireland, ireland ae86 diffing or something like that, all the Uk gt coupes over there use japspeeds.

I always was in the impression the janspeed rear system does not fit on the stock header and that you had to replace the whole thing front to back?

the rest of the system isn't standard, not sure who the mid section is made by, but it the muffler has got 'ROCKET' pressed into it, I've personally never heard of this brand, are they any good?
