I know this sounds crap, but I don't have own a workshop/garage and know of no one who has one, but could anyone recommend someone in London or nearby vicinity who would be able to restore my 86 back to mint condition like this:

thanks in advance

Sorry but I can't answer your question however I do have my own question. Why are they putting what looks to be silicone in the joins on the car???

I once read that you shouldnt believe everything you read.

That's stock on every car to make shure all the water stays outside...
At all the panels they use sealer before painting.
Many people who "restore" their car for a hobby forget about things like this...

Only garage I use is ML Motorsport based just off junction 4 of the M25. A Mini Specialists but they are branching out into various other oldschool cars. I can ask em if they would be willing to try their hands at an AE86 and get back to you... What kind of condition is the car in at the moment? Pics would be a great help!

I dont think there is such a thing as an AE86 specialist in the UK, so wherever you go they are likely to be learning as they go!

James, as 1974KE25 says, Its the only way to keep water out of the cavities. Take the carpets up on your car and you will see seam sealer smeared over all the joints.
