I noticed that you where changing back to stock on a lot of things...Personally I am going in that direction as well. I have my 86 as a daily driver and dont have much wild plans on performance upgrades anymore.
What did you change in the suspension? I know you were selling off your coilover front, so I'm curious what you put back to replace it. Coilovers are still something that I am considering myself, but if they have any significant drawbacks then I might just stick to lowering springs.
What other things did you think worked better in stock configuration?

Coilovers was a whole story of its own... I had done it hte way it should be done, but i found out they were way too low, looked great, but was undriveable.

As they were adjustable, with a longer spring, I managed to get the car up to a reasonable height, but my shocks (the famous Tokico HTS, specially imported from Japan) were topping out on every average bump.

So as I was lucky enough to go on a trip to California last fall, I brought some TRD race springs home, and they are now on, with the Tokico with a 60mm spacer underneath them. That setup works great and handles extremely well, and the looks are also good. Now so far I have no bottoming out or rubbing whatsoever.

So that's another K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) example that works better than the fully modded way.

I had way over 2000€ of stuff I ended up not using, and thats a lot of money wasted...

Regards,
Patrick

To add on this discussion, I'm running 8kg coilovers (+short stroke koni's) in front with 195/50/15 tires and this is not a setup that you want on a daily driver, so I understand you.

Coilovers are good stuff, just you need to be carefull with springs.

Great color choice!

I really like these cars in silver. The type R seats are incredible. My room-mate owns a type R and I even love being a passenger in those seats.

Yes true, I haven't been around here a lot lately Blush

The hachi hasn't been fixed since the accident, as the whole case will probably end in court Sad and I had a lot of personal problems last year, so no time for cars

...but I already have all the bits and pieces for the hachi, and I hope it will be fixed before the end of the year, only waiting for the guy who will be doing the bodywork Smile and yes I will post new pics as soon as it will be back Cool
