corolla fx & ae86 same parts?

hey, it's me again. umm i'm converting my 4a-c to a 4a-ge. i need what's under then hood. i have the engine but i need the fuel pump, ignitor coil, ect. i wen't to a junk yard the other day and i saw a toyota corolla fx with a 4age (fwd). am i able to use the parts that i listed up there. can i also use the wiring harness and ecu? if not i can get it from ebay or something because someone is going to say, "just get it off a gts. "please let me know. thanks

The wiring is not really compatible in layout, though I think it should be possible to modify the loom to fit (lot of hassle, needs some skills with the soldering iron too).

The fuelpump might well work.. if you only take out the pump out of the carrier assembly then it might fit the ae86's fuelpump carrier. The igniter should be no problem to use, it's the same I think.. especially no problem if you're going to use the ae82 ecu too.

I have FX16 and I hang with lot of guys that have AE86..


The best is to put the whole 4AGE engine from FX16 into AE86, rather then converting 4AC to 4AGE
The engines are the same and the differences in engines are minor.
There are lot less difference in FX16 4AGE and AE86 4AGE then in 4AC and 4AGE.

The main things you need is intake and exhaust manifold from AE86 GTS. They are bolt-on on FX 4AGE.

The wiring loom is little different than AE86, like location of ECU in FX is in the middle of console and in AE86 it's on the passenger side on the side wall. But I think it can be easily converted in AE86. Best to use FX16 ECU...

The oil cooler pipes are longer in AE86 because of the location of the engine so you have to change that, and maybe the whole oil filter sandwich plate because of different location of the engine..

The fuel pump, ignitor coil, distributor are the same..
