coolant issues of sorts..??

Right guys,
My 4a-ge 16v trueno is loosing coolant from somewhere, possible i think where the water pump is located? as its defnetly not the radiator leaking.

When i fill it up and go for a spin it's fine the temp sits nicely where it should and i think the water pump is ok (maybe needs a gasket replaced?)

But what i wanted to know was, have any of you's had similar problems and what would yous say is the common problem?

My waterpump is leaking right now but I wouldn't say its a common problem. You can check the underside of the pump. There is a small hole where the water comes out...

It could be a gasket. I would check where the radiator hoses connects to the engine.

Isnt the bleed hole on the top of the waterpump?? anyway.. it's not unlikely for waterpumps to start leaking water before they fail.. so check if there are any drops hanging from it..Loose/damaged hose connections are also a possible cause for water leakage.

My pump seems to be dripping from the underside... But it looks as if there is a bleed hole on the top as well

hmmm, i get the impression that it is the water pump dripping.

will give it a good going over on Saturday when im off.
but i can get a reconditioned water pump for about £30 posted to my door, and toyota can get me the gaskets handy enof.

i'l let ya's know what the score is!

if anyones any other ideas or pics that mite help, that would be cool!
