cluster not working correctly?
Ok please dont flame. i've been searching around to find a solution to this problem. i bought my car without knowing my cluster is messed up.
Speed meter - doesnt work Odometer - doesnt work seat belt light - doesnt work fuel empty sensor - doesnt work check engine light - i think doesnt work brake light - stays on all other meters work fine i took out the cluster to inspect it. light bulbs look ok. no burns on the back. is there a way to fix this cluster or do i need to buy a new one...? |

Sounds like your wiring is fooked rather than your cluster. Find the electrical wiring diagram that Parrot posted up and the diagnostic manual. You can then work your way through by checking the fuses, wiring continuity, power, and grounding. If your wiring is solid, then the cluster is shot, but I would suspect other culprits first.

AEU86.org has everything you need.. look on the main page, not the forums.
Often times these kinds of problems originate at the connection terminal from you wiring loom to the cluster. Try cleaning it up a bit (maybe use some contact spray or something to clean the corrosion of the contacts), and see if that helps. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Just a stupid question: which hand drive to you have (LHD or RHD) and on which side of the cluster is the speedometer?
Also is the speedometer digital or analogue?  BTW: you bought the car without driving it?
