MAP Harness help
No diagram, but if you were staring into the end of the half of the plug
that is connected to the engine side of the loom (connecter clip to the
left and locating lugs top and btm on the right) you would see this :

[1] [2] [3]
[4] [5] [6]
[7] [8] [9]

These numbers represent the three rows of three pins inside, which are :

1. Backup (reversing) light switch
2. Backup (reversing) light switch
3. Spare pin
4. Igniter power supply (black/orange wire)
5. Power supply to injectors (yellow wire)
6. Starter/cold start injector
7. Water temp gauge (on instrument panel)
8. Oil pressure gauge (on instrument panel)
9. Tacho (rev meter) signal

Hope your plug looks like this Smile

Ohhhhh.... kaaaayyy then.... not likely that you will see one of those
plugs on the firewall Confused Those are the ECU plugs, and an accessory plug
that should have a matching socket close by the ECU.

If the accessory plug on the loom doesn't match the one beside the ECU
you will have to swap the plugs and match up the wires. Your plug doesn't
match mine, so I can't help much. But for your information, I did identify
these items on my car as leading back to the accessory plug :

1. Wiper motor (3 wires)
2. Washer motor (2 wires)
3. Variable resisitor (1 wire) (used on AE86 without O2 sensor)
4. Spare plug on engine loom (1 wire)
5. Plug beside underhood fusebox (1 wire) (can't remember what it did)

AFAIK the accessory plug in your pic has nothing at all to do with the
plug on the engine side of the firewall as described above Tongue
