Supposedly they break becuase they are not meant for high speed operation?

Under bucket shims
The SW20 Gen3 MR2 turbo a shim under bucket set up and IIRC they will fit the 4AGE head.
I remember looking into shimless buckets years back for my SW20 and Yaris shimless buckets were what I was going to use. If Yaris ones fit the 3SGTE then the 3SGTE shim under bucket set up should fit the 16v 4AGE. Toyota can supply the shims you need, or try and Mr2 owners club. TPS used Vitz / Yaris one piece shims for my 4AGE build. Nice & light in the sceme of things too. Not had any problems at all. Shim under buckets were developed before this model came along

Under bucket shims
Turns out that the buckets are TRD ones. I guess they use a different type of valve spring retainer that holds the shim. Anyone know what the 20v retainers are like, maybe I could use those instead ? Thanks
