We're starting to sound like women man!Big Grin

Everybody's body is different, there are many things you can do to f'up your bodies metabolysm. But some people naturally take up more fat then others. I knew a guy that I always went drinking with, the guy went to fast food restaurants 2 or 3 times a week ordering atleast 2 burgers, but never gained weight. His body just didn't obsorb it..

What do you mean with the white stuff?

I think I read its not metabolism, some people just move around more then others.

Apolan needs to stop reading his mothers magazines Smile While the underlying conclusions about eating healthy are essentially ok, the reasons you mentionned now have 2 soon to be doctors rolling on the floor grinning.

By the way: you do know that cheese and yoghurt are also white right? Not really a clear guideline

white stuff = white sugars (like suggar itself, candy, sweets all that crap) and white (processed) carbohydrates (like white flouer, white bread, all white bakery etc.). Thats what i meant with "white stuff".

And as far as doctors go, they need to start doing their job right, as they are loosing trust. They've lost mine. How can i trust my doctor who is in her 40ies, weighs at over 100kgs (she is 160cms), smokes a pack of cigarettes a day.. and thinks everything can be solved with the right pill? exsquuze moi french but no fucking way! she can shove those pills up her ass. Medication is the last resort for me. People dont realise what they eat. And its a fundamental buddhist flaw - ignorance! Start reading the tiny scripts on the backside of the package and do some searching on the web. Information is so easily accessible these days.

It is true that genetics have a big influence on how your organism will react to diffrent foods, but if you do find yourself having a worse predisposition than somebody else, you should doubble the effort. Or not. Its your body after all. Smile

And as far as my mother goes, i can only be greatfull for teaching me (on so many levels). She is my mentor. If it wasnt for her i could be just another ignorant chum, eating at mcdonalds every day indulging in lifes commodities thinking ill be dead in couple of years anyway.. why bother.

As I said, the end result, eating healthy, is not the debate..

What I don't find necessary is all the misinformation being made up.

Eat healthy..full stop. Everyone knows by now what is approximately healthy. Nobody knows exactly how and why things work the way they work.

So just to be clear:
Agree on the advice, disagree on your explanation.

Now all we need is someone to start giving recipes for vegetable smoothies LOL

my goal is not to give explanations (as they could be much better if i knew the correct english terms for what i was talking about), but merely to awoke your critic minds, not to be mislead by what the "doctors" say. As mentioned before, information has never been so easily accesible. Never trust people blindly just because they have a degree. And that doesnt just aply to doctors but all "specialists" (mechanics, politicians, whoever..).

Thats all fine, but you should be critical too, not blindly accepting a juju bacteria explanation made up by people that have never been within 2 kilometers of a microscope... Confused

hehe, no problem you can believe what you want. this "juju bacteria theory" as you called it, is not something some mad new age scientist made up in his basement 200 feet below the surface. this just prooves how well people know whats healthy and what isnt. and theese are only the basics. As i said before, i give information, because i care; but its up to each person to learn about this himself. or not.
