If you know what you're doing and going the whole way, then a 4age is just as good a starting point. if you go custom on the pistons why use a GZE?
400 [email protected] bar!? That must be a huge turbo to produce such CFM at that low a pressure. Does it come with much turbo lag, almost must be the case. Still a great achievement, guess it's a drag car, no?

You're right its mostly a drag car! And its a stock agze (pistons, block etc.) not age like it says Smile

Even though mux corrected this already, I would still go for GZE or high-comp block just for the slightly bigger crank, stronger an better designed block (3 vs 7 rib + some improvements in design) and lets not forget the funky oilsquirters..But yeah..4age with low comp pistons would go a long way turbocharged.

I'm referring to the 7 rib 4A-GE, should be the same crank, block etc etc as the GZE, only high comp pistons?

Anyway, why bother? Most of the people will never see more than 8 psi (around .6 bar) boost. At those pressures the biggest force on the crank is the tension caused by RPM's. Most engines blow up because of poor or no tuning.
The car on the pictures seems to be running a TEC2 standalone? judging from the purple coil drivers. So it should be tuned reasonably. Even then with that sort of output from a stock block its just a matter of waiting for it to grenade. Lots of fun until it does though!
