Does anyone know a smaller diameter factory or factory looking steering wheel that will fit a carina? |

I use the leather one from the AE82 (so the same as the AE86 but then with leather) and it looks as if it was made for the Carina.

Haha, funny you mention that, as I went to pick a part the next day, and got a steering wheel from exactly that.
Spaces the wheel a bit far away from the indicators etc though, but nicer having the wheel a bit further out. |

It does indeed place the indicators a bit far away... Almost felt I had to go all the way to the dash and pull a huge lever. But I got used to it after a few days.

Bought another one, from the bottom of the South island. (Of New Zealand)
[img] So there's about 2000kms worth of driving home to do yet Just an AA60 with 3AU/T50. Had a Carina wagon pull up next to me at the gas station! Heaps of cool old cars in the South island. Facelift version though, so spares for the lights etc that I dont have for my other one if need be! Interior is in really good condition, next to no rust on the shell either. In a little town here called Oamaru there's a genuine group B Audi Quattro on display! totally sweet. |

Nice find!
Is that gradient at the lower side of the car genuine? And a Carina wagon pull up next to you at the gas station sounds like the country to live in! 1982 - TA60 Carina 4dr sedan - fun cruiser 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
