I think you would want to be a bit richer on full boost... 12:1 or
maybe even 11.5:1 @ 1 bar.

I am not familiar with the program CROME. But looking at the graph,
it seems that columns 1 - 5 are vacuum, and TP6 - TP10 are boost ??

If this is so, and you are considering only NA, then only the columns
1 - 5 are available for your selection. And of course if you are considering
only NA, then 12.7:1 or close would be fine for max rpm/load.

This is NA, no turbo, no boost Smile

Horizontal line is engine load.
ECU is set to use MAP under 25% of TPS and after that TPS.
So, columns 1-5 are MAP readings, and 6-10 are TPS.

Vertical is engine speed, of course.

Hi,

Normally you should run your engine with lambda 0.90, this is the best value for performance.
But for sure you can only check it on a dyno.
Mine engine needed lambda 0.87 under full load.

When you have a cat you should map lambda 1.00 (in part load).
The reason for this is that the cat only works in a small range around lambda 1.00

A simple rule:
For performance you need lambda 0.90 and for economics you should map lambda 1.10.
Full load, best performance between 0.90 – 0.88.

You can run pretty lean in low load cruise conditions... saves a bunch of fuel.
Somehow I doubt anyone here would ever try that though.
A Prius for instance runs 1:17 under such conditions if I remember correctly.....

Is there any EGT info? Just installed an EGT meter (leftover from a previous project) and under light city driving conditions (40-60km/h under 3k rpm in 5th) it shows 350-450 celsius, on the motorway it shows around 600-650 3500-4000rpm up to 130km/h. Are these values normal? The engine is stock bigport map close to it's end of life. Smile
