Question about oem injectors (blue vs. gray)
Hey,
I had a map bluetop engine and i bought an afm bluetop as mine got wasted, but i kept the map ecu/harness. My old (map) injectors are grey and so ofcourse the connectors that go into them are also grey. The injectors that came with the afm engine are blue and seem to be in better shape. I wanna use the blue ones, are they the same injectors and can i normally connect them to my "grey/map" connectors/ecu?

grey = 182cc/min low impedance
blue = 210cc/min low impedance
So yes you can use the blue one, but be carefull, you will running too rich without ajustement Wink

so just swapping the injectors would make me run to rich; how do i adjust them? Is it normal that afm engines have blue 210 injectors and map engines the gray 182 ones?

Question about oem injectors (blue vs. gray)
On MAP engine, near the ignition coil you have a variable resistor for ajusting the mixture :wink:
You can also reduce the fuel pressure, but it's already realy low on 4AG (2.55)
So It's not recommanded to go lower...

Question about oem injectors (blue vs. gray)
so if i understand correctly i am to plug a lambda air/fuel meter into the exhaust and set the resistor to get a perfect mixture? but wouldnt i be risking that even if i set the a/f ratio correctly in idle, that the mixture would go lean on full throttle? Can you explain how i would do that?

Question about oem injectors (blue vs. gray)
I don't advise you to use the blue injectors in a stock map engine. the mixture adjuster (near the coil) is only modifying under 3200 rpm. you will be rich above this. you should send your grey injectors to a testing/cleaning and then be happy with them Thumbs up!
