Performance Spark Plugs
What are the best plugs to buy for the 4age, Ive had the standard & TRD irridium & neither are able to handle the fueling in the race car, cutting the fuel isnt an option unless I can find someone still capable of programming a 1983 TRD e-prom ecu

if the afr values are too rich no spark plug will help you ...
and you will eventually damage your engine if the afr is below about 10
try a fuel pressure regulator and reduce the pressure
but you should buy a wideband lambda sensor or you might damage your engine

Im sure the fuel pressure is ok, its just the amount!!!, once the car is warmed up its ok, I tried to start it the other day & it took me 2 hours, warming up plugs works.
the cams are 11mm lift 320 deg,

some race engines use 2 set of sparksplugs
1 set is the warmup plugs
and the other set is the race plugs
I guess the warmupplugs might be 1 or 2 degree hotter than the race plugs

if you reduce the fuel pressure the fuel amount injected will also reduce....
that's what I was referring to.

I must buy 2 good quality sets, as you said 1 for warm up only, I leave the plugs sitting on the manifold of a hot car for about 10minutes, this usually works, but if it doesnt start 1st turn, the plugs fowl & the plugs must be removed/cleaned & warmed up again. Pain in the A$$

I would try connecting up an AFR, and fuel pressure guage and see what it is reading, could upgrade to a more modern management system such as Motec if its really a problem.
Superb car btw!
