Oil Temperature Gauge Substitute
Who here has used a Water Temp Gauge as an Oil Temp Gauge? Any insights on why this would or wouldn't work are welcome and useful for people other than myself i'm sure.

Cant see why it shouldnt work, both of my gauges uses the same sort of temp. sensor...

Oil Temperature Gauge Substitute
Oil temperatures are usually higher than water temps, so the gauge might go off scale.

A fair point, Ferret, but there is the question of the sensors themselves - if they emit the same signal on the same t°, then you are absolutely right...
