Nohachi-you should post more about the duratec topic,
know that there are plenty of parts aviable in uk but the stock motor itself is not worth swaping or?How it should bolt on to the miata gearbox?

Nomuken i may have some questions in the future as my 7afe is waiting to be built.
But what i ask now where you got the T50 kit especially the main shaft bearings.

Looking good Smile
what header are you using to replace the TRD one? I haven't found a good header yet in the range I need between 160-200hp most of them are for 200+ (jsp, Toda, etc) or just up to 160 (i.e. Martelius Street.
Worst case I'll have to get really busy with my TIG welder practise so I can make one myself... but I'd like to avoid that to be honest - good piping is expensive to fuck up while welding and there's not much skills around here in that or any other precission demanding area.

Almost everywhere!
Any local motorsport dealer does have them and if you´re looking for a full 16V 4AGE set this is what you need, won´t get any cheaper for that quality:

You can always try ebay, but be aware of a lot of sh** floating around there Smile

Ford part-owns Mazda and they have been sharing parts/platforms for some time - for example, latest Mazda 2 and Ford Fiesta are the same platform.

If my memory is correct, Ford and Mazda share the same engine/gearbox bolt pattern. Therefore a Mazda 6-speed gearbox should mount directly to a Ford Duratec engine. I'm sure a little Googling will find the answer...

To answer a few questions:
The T50 rebuilt kit was bought in the US, no idea where. A guy in Belgium bought the 2 last of that shop ans sold me one. Rebuilt was done by a Toyota mechanic.

The new header is the OBX copy of JSP's header. In fact I bought a Martelius R1 (great header BTW) but I could'nt get it mounted because my 7A block is 2cm taller and because of this the header didn't clear the steering rack.

Oil cooler gear is from ebay UK

Stock MX5-NC duratec = 175bhp (2ltr) and rwd gearbox.
MX5-NC duratec with header,exhaust,intake = 200-205bhp
MX5-NC duratec with header,exhaust,intake,ecu = 210bhp

Fiesta ST duratec = 150bhp for 400GBP, bolts onto MX5-NC gearbox.
Same upgrade path as MX5 engine, but simpler (no vvt). Good exhaust and intake = 180bhp. Add ITB's and 200-210.

Crate 2l duratec = 1500gbp. So worth a shot if you are starting from scratch (aka you have no money invested in go fast 4AGE parts).

Curious to see the dyno numbers of the new setup. Always thought you needed to rev a 4AGE to make hp, and that a 7AGE wouldn't like revs for a very long time.

Strange my MX5 NC 2.0 only has 160hp

As you can see, the peek is around 7300 on my 7AGE. After this the header is restricting the flow (That's what the dyno guy told me). The new header should cure this a bit. Of course a 7FEE doesn't like to rev to 9k all day. This because of the tiny conrods and the poor 2layer conrod bearings. Therefore I changed for some 3-layer ACL bearings and some H beam conrods.
81.5mm x 85.5mm isn't that horrific!
