New old guy from Motown...

Hello all!

All things do come Full Circle, and I am certainly no exception! Back in the mid 80s, I was a high schooler tearing up the neighborhood in a V8 Chevelle, when I was struck curious by a little Toyota parked in the driveway at my girlfriend's house. It was a 1986 SR-5 and it was her mom's car. Tough to call it love at first sight (though it abssolutely was with the girl!), but the quirkly little hatchback struck an unsteady nerve, and I knew I was intrigued!

Girlfriend's mom let me drive her new car, and it was a World Away from the tire melting Chevelle...but delightfully so in many ways! It handled, it split through traffic, it was simple to park, and damn it all if it wasn't just a whole lotta FUN to boot! I didn't bandon the old 396 Chevy right then...but a Fire had been lit within, which still burns bright for those little Corollas!

So, here it is...a month past my 25th high school reunion and where has the World taken me? The long answer is that it's been a wild ride over many pitfalls and rollercoasters, but I'm still a long haired car guy...though now I've elected to augment the stable with an AE86...or two!
