Those are struts for a FWD car, and they will be of no use for your AE86 Undecided

The AE86 uses a strut insert at the front (slips inside the strut housing),
and a shock at the back (as shown in my sig ). You should return those
struts and exchange them for AE86/GTS items.

If you can't return them - use inserts only (will fit AE86 with shortened strut housing -40mm) Tongue

KYB catalog says...

Part # 343-149 Rears
Part # 365-015 Fronts 84-85
Part # 365-076 Fronts 86-87

Shocks and inserts for standard height suspension (or close). Not
recommended for drastically lowered cars Tongue

You can only get the shocks themselves from KYB. (meaning only the inserts). The struts which have that perch on where you sit the spring cannot be obtained from KYB for the ae86. Therefore you must yous your current struts, pop them open, throw the old shock away and put in the new one. Or you can go shortstroke with the ones you just bought, but again you must take the shock out of the new ones, shorten your current OEM strut by 40mm, put in the new insert from the new shock.. now you can lower your car more than 40mm..
