Hello European AE86 family
Widar - Thanks mate. I'm not too worried about making it look good, it's about how it drives and how it can improve me as a driver. It drives much better than it looks...

The engine, ECU & loom etc was £900, taken from a crashed 1996 JDM AE111 Trueno BZ-G with 45,000 km.

The front mount dizzy kit, Ultra leads set, velocity stacks and Annex water block kit were BIG money, imported from Japan. Don't know how much for sure, since I didn't buy them, but in the region of $1500 US + shipping & taxes for the bits.

Putting that money into a nicely built 16v would yield much more power, but I love the flat delivery of the 20v and the ITB's concerto, as well as stock reliability/longevity.

There are other, cheaper ways of doing the swap and more expensive, cleaner ways too but this works very well for a stock engine and is a nice & tidy fit. Ultimate would have to be Freedom ECU with a DLI set-up, like Moto's from Club4AG, but that is more money.

Obviously a 4AGZE would make a far more potent weapon for the money, but I like the challenge and feel of NA and can do without having to change my diff/shafts/gearbox every week (I've got enough diff troubles with the NA power!)...

Rikard hasn't registered yet, but I'm sure he will once he's back from holiday!
eh eh, you all talking behind my back? Smile Back from Holiday, had a good time. Did not have a chance to look at the 20V engines as I was either at the beach or out drinking Smile or running from a hurricane!
Did have a chance to drive a friends modified S15, great car to drive.
Will be moving back to Trinidad around next year this time so will either sell my coupe or take it with me. Big Grin
Nice forum by the way Big Grin Big Grin

Hey Rikard

Glad you enjoyed your holiday, shame you couldn't fit some 20v engines in your suitcase...

I'm still in need of those parts from you and the complete axle, so don't forget to plan a drifting holiday over here soon!!

Will

Hi Will
Have all the axles there for you. Just got the bigger axles today and will put the TRD diff back in tomorrow.
Will get a friend of mine to check on the 20V engines and see how much shipping would be.

Hello European AE86 family
185/60 R14's.

They fit nice over 7J Supras.

175/65 also work good, a little more stretched, a little less grip.

Got my 15" split-rims now though... need to see about re-drilling and refurbing them. They are pretty sweet; 15x7 fronts and 15x8 rears, all 0 offset.
