Daihatsu Charmant, got T50 gearbox?

Hi.

Collecting parts for a 4AGE engine build. Found a 12 000km old Daihatsu Charmant 1600.

Do this got at t50 Gearbox?

Only i know about the car the gearbox come from:
1983, 4K-C 1600cc engine.

Only thing to make this fit a 4Age is to change the bellhousing? The splines on the clutch shaft is the same? Any other difference?

the 4K-C had K50 gearbox, and not 1600 but 1300 cc engine.

I think here in Finland SOME K engined had MORE rare k-engine - T50 bellhouse.. But not 110% sure.. which one

Ops don't know where i got 1600cc from, but it's a 4K-C anyway.

Well to bad then, so which engine did have the T50?

4a engine has Definitely correct t50 WHIT usable bell house

2TG is also mated with T50 but splines aren't the same

My sister has a 4K engine Charmant and its got a K50, not a T50 tranny. :wink:

Hehe yes that would be the best, but a pain in the ass to find in sweden.

Hm okey, so the 2TG got 20 splines? Cause the 4age t50 got 22 splines right?

I've found an 22 splines T50, the selley says it sat on a "t" engine. Better ask him which one. But it's 22 splines, so with the right bell house it will fit? Any other modifications i have to do except change the bellhouse and gear lever?

only the early Celicas (TA22 and TA23), Carinas (TA12 and TA14) and Corollas (TE21/27 and TE31/37) got the 20 spline T50, the later cars (TA40, TA60, TE71 etc. etc.) got the 22 spline T50 with 2T bellhousing.
