True, if you're lucky someone doesn't know what they have, then you can get something cheap, but those are exceptions to the ruleBig Grin

No they're not. You need to make brackets so any calliper would fit.

About the brake calipers of an aw11, at first they looked quite the same as the ones the ae86 has.If they are the same, the part numbers should be the same too?

I know there are differences in brake capacity between the first and second generation aw11.I thought the later models were equipped with bigger front brakes because the ones on the old type became warped easily with spirited driving.

I have an old type aw11 so i could check tomorrow if it resembles the ae86's caliper.

I dont know what parts also could be exchanged with the aw11, but I know there are quite more aw11 available then ae86.And how about those old celica's(I dont know the code AA63 or something like that?)

I'd sooner expect the ae82 GT to have the same front calipers..
The AW11 has stronger brakes in the rear than in the front, this has to be so because of the rear-biased weight distribution.

Backing plate is different, callipermount is different etc. etc.

Hilux 4 spot calipers mount to some model Corona struts. Then a Peugoet 405 disc, after being machined, fits onto that.

As far as brake boosters go, I have read somewhere that a mitsubishi starion booster fits into the ae86 without mods...

S13/14 struts with lower mounts and racks have been used I think already.

for the rx7 4pot conversion you dont need a bigger booster, all you need is the calipers and a mounting bracket. the dics are from a Integra type r DC2 i think the one with 4 round small head lamps. then you line up your hub and redrill the disc for your hub. it takes a while to get it sorted, a couple of hours but are well worth it if not for the extra braking and lack of fade but also for the ease of changing pads, 5 mins for both sides!!!

Its gotta go whoosh or give a whine!!!!

S13/14 LCA's bolt into the ae86 and all other corolla oldies. They're longer though, so S13 swap could be bolt on if you find a strut that comes with rosejointed and length adjustable S13 LCA's

A pedal to steer the rear
