20 Valve Blacktop smoking after engine flush - why?
Hi guys

My 20 valve blacktop is totally stock and never been opened before. I bought the car (2000 Corolla GT 6 speed) with 150 000 miles on it and I did not know what kind of oil was used for the longest time in it. VVT cam gear needed to be changed. I changed that and now she pulls so hard and feels so healthy! One of the first things I did was run Liqui Moly engine flush before running new synthetic 5W40 Liqui Moly oil. That flush probably did it's job really well since after this oil change, the rear main started leaking profusely and oil burn with smoke became apparent. I'm imagining the amount of sludge there was inside the engine :/ There was varnish on the cams and under the cam cover prior to this service.

Thoughts?

I changed those to new Supertech seals from Battle Garage RS. I also changed the cam seals and VC gasket to new OEM ones.
