Thank you guys! It has been a [u:4ddc69bb09]very[/u:4ddc69bb09] stressed out weekend. I can't wait to sit behind the wheel and start breaking it in.

Now on to the details. The T3 short-shift is in place. Installation is piece-of-cake and it feels a bit strange. The throw is indeed very much reduced, but it will take some practice to get used to.

The exhaust manifold has been drilled and fitted with a lambda sensor (needed by AE92 ECU).

The engine gave us a bit of trouble, but it was fixed fianally. The starter was turning, but it just wouldn't start.
First we checked the spark plug wires. They were live.
Then we checked the fuel. The injectors were spraying allright.
Then we checked compression. Compression was good.
Then we noticed that in-cam and ex-cam lobes were pointing at the same direction for a given cylinder. Duuuuh!
Apparently the mechanic had started rebuilding this particular motor sometime in the past, had gone as far as removing the cams and then aborted the project and put it back together hastily. As a result, when he marked the cam gears to disassemble it for me, the cam position was all f**ked up and he didn't notice when putting it back together.

So basically in and ex valves were opening upp at the same time, loosing compression and letting the mixture go straight out the exhaust.

But we fixed that too and it started 1st time.

So now, all is in place, except some panels in the car and minor things to be strapped down in the engine bay. I should be getting it back today or tomorrow. Hurray!
