The early 4age engines were designed to run at least on 91 octane, so I assume later spec engines were designed to run on higher grade like 95 for instance. So imo 98 should be perfect for your high compression 4age.
I mostly used 95 in my hachi (low compression) and didn't find much difference between running on 95 or 98 except in the wallet.
