Cylinder Head Work
Bit of a newbie type question but I've searched and can't find a solid answer! So:
I need to change my head gasket (brown water + brown gunk under the oil filler cap = not right). Seems like a good oppertunity to do some upgrading. Few questions though - I've read that a small port non-TVIS head is the one to have if you want to start messing with it. Is it possible to use a small port head with TVIS? Is there anywhere where I can get an exchange head from? The one on the car is a big port (original to the three-rib block engine, oval inlet ports) If I were to put in a pair of cams at the same time, what should I look for? Can't seem to find an HKS dealer with some in stock, anyone have expierence with Kent or Piper? Cheers all! |
