Well, I fabricate, sell and apply TRD style Rear wings, and by my experience the normal procedure is to:
1-Place the wing in its place 2-Drill holes separated around 10cm from each other all around the wing (drill wing and boot alltogether) 3-Rivet all the holes Optional - Fiberglass or Polyester Mass on top of the rivets and for a smooth finishing.
