They filter worse then ordinary paper filters and yield 0,0 horsepower on an otherwise stock engine. I'm guessing the AFM is a flapper door type, newer style glowing mesh/wire types get totally destroyed by the oil.

Best solution is still as big a paper filter as you can find. There is a reason that even sports car manufacturers keep choosing them over these, you know.
