Any twenty year old car will cost plenty of money..period..A typical lifecycle for a car is considered to be 15 years..anything older then that and lots and lots of parts are about to break..things like clutch, gearbox, engines themselves, bushings and rubber bits (and there are a lot of them)..
Its just part of the reality of driving such an old car. Does that mean you shouldn't do it? Off course not. But making repairs all the time is part of the experience..if you are not willing or able to do that, then it can become a very costly hobby indeed. If you have a few friends around and a place to work in, then its all pretty manageable and not more expensive then other cars. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
