The 4A-GE bolts directly to the gearbox of your celica, since you already have an A-series block.
The 3S-GE conversion is possible, but then you'd have to change the tranny as well, along with driveshafts, hubs and brakes. What I'm saying is that your uncle's celica is more of a corolla with a celica body, so stick with the corolla engine (FE or GE) and tranny and you will be fine.
