engine mounts finally done ! what a difference its made to the car.
It wasn't all smooth sailing - the replacement mounts, the stud that lines up on the engine side required to be ground down a little. Also the replacement nuts were size 18 but with the same thread pitch. I decided to reuse the old nuts, as I had more size 17 spanners than 18 ! All in all a worth while job - transforms the car for me. The rear view mirror is usable, and the steering wheel no longer vibrates, lots of rattles have disappeared too
