Actually, since very recently, this is possible to do in Switzerland now. The new rules are also harmonized with what many (but not all) EU countries have done for allowing EV conversions of older cars.
Source: https://www.astra.admin.ch/dam/astra/de/...-12-22.pdf Looking at the fact they're using a battery module from Lexus, the "certified battery module" requirement may actually be fulfilled already. Notable detail: Pre Euro2 cars can be engine swapped with "anything goes", as long as you certify them with Euro2 afterwards. That means you can LS-swap an AE86 (or 240Z or whatever) with a brand new crate engine now and get it road legal. |
