RE: Carina drivers! - Coilovers for a TA60/62
Hi,
I have an TA60 Celica, it is the same platform as the Carina. I know the following: FRONT S13 camber plates work with minor adjustments of the bolts. MA6x Supra camber plates don't work. For the bottom you should get a rolling center adjuster. The only ones I know of are manufactured by T3. AE86 ones DON'T work. I think the easiest is to get 2 sleeves from https://www.rallydesign.co.uk , cut and weld your strut, get short stroke shocks, here is a complete guide http://club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/Sh...ersion.htm REAR You can use AE86 coilovers, they bolt up if I remember correctly. I personally decided to go on the cheap way for the rear and just got a pair of yellow Koni shocks (AE86 ones) and stiffer springs (Nissan 350Z early models work fine, and they are 6.1 kg/mm, got them for like 30 euros on ebay for a pair). |
