problem again , about leaking half shaft bearing

There are only three ways oil can get out...
1. Between bearing retainer and shaft. If the shaft has deep scratches or
grinding marks from taking the old retainer off, then oil could seep thru.
But you checked this with petrol and nothing leaked thru.
2. Between the seal and the retainer. Lip seal damaged by axle splines
while fitting, or groove in sealing surface. Check the seal lip with a
magnifying glass to see if there are any nicks or cuts. Usually you can feel
them if you run your fingernail around the lip. Make sure the tensioning
spring is inside the seal.
3. Between the seal and the housing. Look for deep scratches in the
housing or any damage to the seal caused during installation.
