Sniff Petrol is hilarious, and most of the timers i fully agree with him! Big Grin

Sadly he did mention on the podcast that he isn't going to post on Sniff Petrol much anymore. However I did buy his most recent book, and even though it's not car related, it's brilliant.

I've probably forgotten more about cars than that sammit youtuber will ever know, and I even have a bigger vocabulary than just "guys". Strange how he's the one making car content that people watch.

Frankly it sums up what I think of sammit and most of the car channels on youtube.

I fully agree with you (and him) on that! Big Grin
Disclaimer: I'm not subscribed to Sammit, but this is Youtube pushing AE86 content my way. I found it sad to see these cars ended up as heaps of rust.

About the subject of Youtubers/influencers, I have seen great channels transform into these awful "hey look at my new car" and also "I just opened up a garage". Even MCM seem to have hopped on that bandwagon. Nori Yaro recently posted a video about his new garage, so I'm afraid his channel will follow suit. Crying

This is also very inspirational: AE86 mechanic drags out his old drift missile from Southern Circuit (Hokkaido) and starts to revive it:

In this video he manages to start it after all those years:

And all it took was to replace a faulty fuse (and a few other bits...) Big Grin

Be aware that this mechanic acts like the sketchiest I've ever seen. In one of the videos he's trying to remount the engine subframe from below. The car is on only two jackstands, the engine is supported by a garage jack and he's pushing it upwards with his hands, while leveraging his body by clamping his feet on the front bumper support. Banging head

This might be a stupid question, but how the hell do so many of these young youtubers always have enough money for a R35 GT-R? If I constantly say "guys" and have an annoying fake smile, will Nissan give me a free GT-R?

Clever/shameless sense of business and a shit load of effort, perseverance and a bit of luck.

Or scamming old grannies from their pensions:

It's a while but my friend is back in action (with the proper engine) after his crank failed about a year ago.

EDIT: I still don't know how to properly embed these links, maybe because I'm doing it through Tapatalk?
