Oldschool racecars from the 70s and 80s
Found this link to a gallery which has a lot of photos of old racecars taken by the Chowini's racing team, mostly in 70s and early 80s. There are several AE86s and TA22 Celicas, but also some Datsuns and other cars. No words can describe the pure awesomeness of these cars. Big Grin

These links have a nice collection of photos and specs from different touring car series between 1963 and 1992. The AE86 was quite popular in the 1600cc class/division 1 so it can be seen quite often in photos between 1984 and 1988.

Does anyone have any other good links or photos of racecars from the same era as these? Please post them if you do! Smile Any photos from the original N2 series would be especially welcome as there seems to be very few online.

Wow, great link - thanks!

I found another one which is pretty interesting - the photos are mostly from the 1960s but there's some really exotic racecars there;

Hirofumi Makino's site has also a lot of content with photos but most of it is on the japanese side (see the 'What's new' -page for a nice list of articles).

I think you can almost call it a replica. Only some parts of the floorpan and interior are re-used. Huh
But apart from that: respect! Respect!
