Irishtwincam: He got them from a danish rally driver (TE72). They are 7x14" 12 mm offset I think

As I recall he sold the car and had these wheels left. And I only know of two sets in DK and the other was 4x100...

Hi Jan. You've got a great car and i hope one day mine ae86 will become like yours(but in white colour)
I want to ask you 3 questions... first you remove all the windows...ok...but where did you found new rubbers(i don't know exactly how they call them in english)? Second, in Denmark i believe you don't have awful roads with crates and bumps everywhere so the stiffness and extreme weight of the rear axle won't be a problem. Have you tried to drive your ae86 really fast in bad roads and that you constantly have in your mind that if there is a crate or a bump in the middle of the corner the rear will bump like a log and fly away? And third did you finish with 20v swap? I'm thinking of doing the same with mine. Thanxs. |

Hi Stratos
The rubbers you are referring to is that the trim around the rear side windows? I so they can be bought at Toyota but the price is VERY high! I reused all trim... Roads in Denmark are pretty good in general but quite a few of the danish rally drivers use same spring rates. Rallies are 70/30 tarmack/gravel in Denmark. It all depends on the damper and the TRD units are quite good imo. Well the 20V isn't running just yet ![]() ![]() Good luck on your project ![]() Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer ![]() Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch ![]() |

Thanks Jan for the info. Of course i know that trims and everything else is Amazingly expensive in Toyota But i'm not sure that i'll not destroy them when i try to remove them.
Hope you fix that 20v soon, i'm waiting to see it happen ![]() |

Its time to wake up this thread from the dead - and with good news: My car is now running with 20V
![]() It still needs some quite a bit of tuning and a few jobs has to be done. But its going to a dyno on the 7th april. After that its only an MOT (or engine failure) that can keep me away from the Nürburgring at easter ![]() Sorry, but no pics or vids as my cam is broken ![]() Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer ![]() Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch ![]() |

Oilpressure is now ok with the bigger hoses
![]() The new radiator is mounted as is the plenum: ![]() ![]() I need to shine up a filter box but the setup is working and it is very smooth and quiet.
