that's what i mean by you can't really pronounce it out in english, not like Mandarin. li chi dao ma (you know).

This is funny man, learning cantonese can be the most difficult out of all the dialogue in China.
If you are really keen, you know learn Mandarin first.
that would give you a good base to start with.
Even mainland Chinese having so much trouble speaking in Cantonese properly.
