ITB's/Stand Alone ECU?
I fiited a set of 20v ITB's and Stand alone ECU on my 4AGE. Got the car running, baldly, link below. The car drove over to the riolling road. It won't take any throttle load, it just dies! Anyone any ideas? The car idles/drives perfect on maybe 1/5 throtte! After that not well at all.

I think it is too lean aswell, the guy who has the rolling road, thinks it's ignition. I Have a map sensor conected, but I don't really know the software on the ECU, I have only used for ignition in the past, but when starting with all unknowns, it's hard to tell. I will keep you posted if there is any progress.

Cheers

euhm it should not fire at the intake ............. i would rather have it running to reach than to lean set ignition at 10 bdc there should be maps for the ecu you bought google to see if there is one for a standard 4age

The 1/5 throttle is fine if you push slow and steady. The car actually drives very nice and can do 50-60mph. Any more throttle than that it just dies. The guy with the rolling road is taking a look at it now to see if he can find what is wrong. Will keep you posted when it comes back, hopefully!

Sounds like it is over-advanced. Try knocking your timing back a bit
and see if that makes a difference. If not, just think of it as a speed
governor to keep you safe Smile After all, who needs to go faster than
50-60 mph ??

Finally got the car sorted, fitted two amplifiers to drive the injectors, problem solved. I will be picking the car up on sat. The guy ran it on the rollers and said is is making the same sort of power as standard. but his rolling was broken and needs re-calibrated. He thinks it is going alot better. I will get my brother to drive my Ford Mondeo ST220 home with me, and I can see how much faster it is. Think it need a good run on the roller, maybe in a few weeks for fine tuning.
