How to make the handbrake more effective?
Guys, no matter how much I tighten the cable from the adjuster near the lever, my rear wheels won't lock up?
I assume its due to the following reasons: 1. Rear Disc worn out 2. Cable not taut enough 3. Pistons are not working hard enough in the calipers 4. Bad brake pads Guys any suggestions on how to improve this? I really would like to get the rear sideways using the handbrake and not just with power.. With a small and crowded roads in Sri Lanka its really dangerous.. Please help. thanks, heshan. Cheated on my いたずらな女の子 and now I can't get enough of her.. |

Well, you pretty much answered the question yourself...
What you need to do, get new discs + pads and check if the caliper works properly. (self adjusting mechanism) While doing that bleed your brake system, too. 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

Usually the adjuster mechanism is fooked.
Drifting on crowded and narrow public roads is fucking stupid. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

I had the same issue but then I found out that Im using the handbrake the wrong way. Its all about transfering the weight around.
Small and twisty roads are fun but dont even think about doing this in traffic... 86ers.org AE86 x GXE10 |

Thats the problem of this handbrake setup, allen said most of it.
But why cannot just use 1,R gear while parking? I gave up and do that automatically everytime. http://www.86ers.org All the hachies that Daytona can only dream about. |
