well if you got the stock ones you could measure the centerline, then you have it Wink assuming the stacks are the only thing you change... although I can't see any sense in that as the OEM system is perfect for stock setup.

The stock ones are not stacks, they are noise killers

Banging head if you plan to remove the airbox and run pimp, flashy stacks - my 2p are don't! You'll just ruin a very close to perfect setup. As long as you don't change anything else on tge OEM setup apart from filter and exhaust you can't do a better job than toyotas engineers did. The only thing you'll achieve is some props of silly youngsters and loss of power in the whole revrange.

But each to his own - like I said, just measure your stock ones and you got what you are looking for even if it's pointless in my oppinion.

Really, what you want to find out is the proper wave tuning of the 20v setup. This is called pulse tuning. It's reflective pulses generated as the valves open and close throughout the each cycle.

Custom stacks won't be cheap though but proper pulse tuning will net you performance. Pulse tuning also applies to the exhaust side of the motor as well.

Anyway, I just use an Induction Wave "Calculator" that I put together in .xls to make things easier on me.

This ^^^ is a typical result obtained by removing the factory inlet plenum
and "bent" rubber intake stacks. And under cross-examination, the owner
will usually break down and admit that the gain was in the 6000-8000 rpm
range Thumbs up! Further questioning will also usually discover that there was a
loss of bottom end torque, making an already weak bottom end, worse Confused

Short stacks are the best for producing more top end... they also do the
most damage at lower rpm's. Longer stacks, such as the 110mm made by
TODA can give more performance all round, but are pricey !!! Even so,
as pointed out above, the best results can only be expected when the
stack is "tuned" to the engine mods, and the rpm range where the engine
needs to do its best work.

But yeah... the +200hp effect has gotta be worth something Cool

Cheers... jondee86
