Hey!
Hello all, just joined, obviously!

I'm from the UK and Recently got myself an 86. I have wanted one for years, before I even learned to drive. They were always my favourite car on any game I played as a kid!
But only now have I been able to afford one.

Anyway I have picked up a jdm 84 2dr levin, ideally I would like a 2dr trueno but maybe I will look to swap the front sometime in the future. It seems a pretty clean car so far, just needs a bit of bodywork and a couple of technical bits doing, which is some of the reason I am here!

Was going to post a picture but it doesn't seem to want to let me attach anything to the post

Hey!
Hi Sam! Welcome! Wave
Please read this topic on how to add photos to your posts:

I'm curious about your two door! If it's a Levin, I reckon it was imported to the UK from Japan. Did you import it yourselves or was it already in the country? Thumbs up!

Hey!
Welcome aboard Sam! If you decide to go the Trueno route you’ll find plenty of buyers for the Levin front here in Ireland. Either way, happy slipping and sliding

Hey!
I have downloaded tapa talk, seems to work much better for pictures than my phone browser, thanks!

Yes it is a japenese import, I did not import it myself. I found it for sale online and it was only 20 minutes down the road, lucky!
So I am the first UK owner, I have got the registration through today.

I am not an initial D fan so removing the stickers was one of the first things I did! [Image: AEU86 AE86 - Hey!][Image: AEU86 AE86 - Hey!]

Actually I am struggling with tapa talk a bit now, if I try and view any forum sections I get this message, but I am logged in otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this! [Image: AEU86 AE86 - Hey!]

Hey!
Nice! Thumbs up!
It even still has the auction writings on it! Big Grin
I see it has the no-rotating early grille. Is it a GT model? (E.g. does it have model code E-AE86-ESMQF?)

Hey!
Looking good.

Regarding the Tapatalk error I get that too sometimes but never spent any time to hunt it down.

Hey!
Looks nice. Certainly seems like one of the better examples I've seen in recent years, so you're quite lucky.

Hey!
It's ESMVF on the VIN plate which I believe is gt apex? I don't know a lot about the different specs so I'm not sure if that's good or not though

I think I definitely did fairly well with it, it's the cheapest running/driving on the road 86 I have seen since I started seriously looking for one a year or two ago. Seems pretty good mechanically and looks good underneath, it's just a bit tatty bodywork and interior wise.

I am picking up some rear seats for it at the weekend and I will put some carpet back in it, then sort some rust on the drivers side wing and bonnet and it should be OK... I don't want a show car, just something I can drive and enjoy!
