Hard start issue
So just got the car back in the road and I'm having a hella time getting the car started from cool or if it's been sitting a few hours after a drive. car tends to pop and bang though intake if it takes any longer than 5-8 seconds to start which also sounds like when the starter motor starts to die off.

from warm or an hour or so after being started/driven the car normally turns first time of the key, but the starter motor tends to engage for longer than it should.

I was originally getting codes 4 coolant temp sensor, 5 couldn't find much on this but got it down to 02 sensor & 7 open/short in TPS signal circuit.

I've changed the 02 sensor, igniter & dizzy and that has cleared code 5&7

Car started a lot easier but still required the foot pumping the gas peddle for a few secounds. I'm now getting code 11 AC conditioning switch on/ IDL points in TPS off. I only get this code if I hold down the pedal and then it goes away.

Static timing and gun timing are bang on.

And ideas on how to solve this code?

Would a gubbed starter cause these issues of hard start? Starter motor seems to engage for longer than it should. i know it wouldn't cause the EML code but wondering if lack of power in the motor would cause this.

Thanks in advance

Well if your coolant sensor isn't working properly then the car might not know it's cold and hence not adjust timing and fuel as necessary.

This is a good point actually. Never though of that. Will look into that. Cheers

Agree with Bean.
Code 11 is normal operation when the throttle is pressed, basically telling you that the TPS is no longer engaging the idle switch.
(Code 11 without the throttle pressed would be abnormal)

ok so have changed the green and brown sensor at the back of the head, sensor next to thermostat housing, disconnected battery to clear code and hasn't changed a thing. still hard to start. but if i take out the RTR 30A fuse the car start up from cold no bother.

still getting code 4 as well
