Nice work! Thumbs up!
Really like the gauges, but I personally don't really like big screens in a 20+ year old car, but that's personal taste I guess. Wink

I got mine at http://www.powerkings.nl
about 60 euro per meter not that expensive..
I had these ones "left" from my purchase for the AE101 swap Big Grin still got lots of stuff left.. including 3"stainless steel pipes for a whole new exaust. but tat is just to mutch for it..

Ow.. and will take an picture of my sensors.. I just fits tight!!

maybe I want a oil filter relocator kit.. couse the oil temp sensor is also getting hot from the exaustmanifold I guess...

nice work, but the gauges are a little bit too deep i think, you cant read them when your driving Confused

Neat work. Just don't like the style of the gauges in this kind of car. Same story for the radio. But it's nicely done. More plans to come?

The Short shifter is in Big Grin
Works just great.. smooth and tight.
Quite a big improvement..

Also gathering some Information for a Run Free Kit, couse that is the set I like the most.

THe stuff is made out of FRP
Does that stand for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic?

and does that stuff bend a little, of will it brake?

I do like the front fenders, and need 1 new one thats for sure.. but the rear fenders, I want them to be from metal, how mutch wider will the Golf 1 arches make the coupé?

thanx

Cheers

Roel

FRP is indeed fibreglass.. I just cant believe that run-free would make them with that stuff. If it is FRP, it will brake on colisions.. I thought most of the "brand-name" kits from japan where made from some urethane-plastic, which is much better since it can flex.

Golf arches make the car quite a bit wider in the back...look up robokill's track car for pics. You do need to realise that you'll have to do some fancy welding where the arch meets the rear bumper, because the golf arches are designed to go all the way down, unlike the ae86 ones which stop at the bumper.

BTW, I recently saw an old Opel Kadett ( early 80's, D) that had arches that might suit the ae86 too. Dont know how they compare to the golf stuff though. Most people would rather die than have opel stuff on their toyota anyway so I never bothered to look into it.
